Sounds like your pitot-static system should be in good shape for many years to come after this.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11846593737518887287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19353992.post-11399175654928461752021-06-07T11:51:39.534-05:002021-06-07T11:51:39.534-05:00Chris,

I ended up having most of the ancient system replaced. The static line hoses were falling out of the old brass fittings and where modifications were made T's were added. Despite the number of labor hours time was saved just running new. Thankfully the shop did the work and handed it over to the avionics guy for the retest. Most likely saved me $25 dollars an hour with the shop vs the avionics tech. So to answer your question on where was the leak, everywhere would be the correct response. Even the alternate air switch was bad.
Garyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14637264267903131611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19353992.post-29477243577797005442021-06-07T11:25:22.422-05:002021-06-07T11:25:22.422-05:00I'm looking forward to your next adventure, to...I'm looking forward to your next adventure, too! Glad you got the airplane back in your possession and the both of you back in the air.

I must have missed it...where was the static leak? Seems like that was not easy to chase down.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11846593737518887287noreply@blogger.com
