US Airways Flight 1549

With both engines out, a cool-headed pilot maneuvered his commercial jetliner over New York City and ditched it in the frigid Hudson River and all 155 on board were pulled to safety as the plane slowly sank....A Miracle on the Hudson.

I got to see the US Air Airbus 320 as it made its final journey destined for the Carolina's Aviation Museum in Charlotte, N.C. The initial destination when departing LaGuardia Airport back in January 2009.

The massive flatbed hauling the 191-foot, 194,000-pound fuselage,15 feet 10 inches wide and 15 feet 5 inches tall took about ten minutes to cross the Delaware Memorial Bridge, rolling along at 10-15 mph in the middle of the deck where clearance is highest.

Thanks to the DRBA folks who managed to take some very cool photos and share them with those of us who didn't have a camera.
