Plane Watching & Hangar Cleaning

The last few times over at the hangar Mary and I noticed that Ziva left a few puppies. No, not real puppies but enough hair that they could be mistaken for pups.

After watching a busy morning of plane traffic I broke out the leaf blower and chased out all the dog hair tumbleweeds/puppies. Much cleaner now and ready for preflights.

I've Been Busy

A quick update
I haven't been in the air much, instead, I've  been busy working on my shooting skills.
Recently, the Supreme Court declared for the first time that the U.S. Constitution protects an individual's right to carry a handgun in public for self-defense, handing a landmark victory to gun rights advocates in a nation deeply divided over how to address firearms violence.
The U.S. Supreme Court struck down a New York law that made it illegal to carry a firearm in public without showing a special need for protection, throwing into doubt the legal status of a similar Maryland law. The court found that the law, enacted in 1913, violated a person's right to "keep and bear arms" under the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment.
I immediately signed up for the Maryland Concealed Carry Class with Atlantic Tactical in Salisbury MD. I spent two days, 16 hours, covering everything from laws, safety, handling and cleaning, even shooting. By Sunday evening I headed home with more knowledge and hopefully skills after completing and passing the course. It will be nice to have the option open to me if I wanted to carry.
Now it's time to get back to flying. Mary and I have plans to head south to visit Charleston, SC and then make the hop (for the third try) to visit Laurel, MS. We also made reservations for Vero beach in early 2023.
